We believe that everyone who comes into our drop in centre is created by God. We want everyone to know about Jesus and to be known by Him. Our focus is to build a relationship with everyone who comes into our doors and to lift them up and encourage them in who Christ says we are.

OUR VISION STATEMENT
VALUE STUDENTS The Drop Zone VALUES every person that walks into the building. Valuing youth and children is essential for shaping a better future. By supporting their growth, providing them with education, emotional support and opportunities, we invest in a more compassionate society. Additionally, recognizing their inherent worth fosters a sense of self-confidence and belonging, empowering them to take on challenges and lead with empathy and wisdom. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3:16-17 SUPPORT POTENTIAL SUPPORT is the recognition of potential. Supporting the potential of a youth in a drop in setting involves creating a nurturing environment that encourages development, engagement, and empowerment. We want to help kids grow in life skills, encouraging their interests and hobbies. We want to teach kids how to not only survive but thrive in this life. We believe their background should not affect their future. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not grow faint. Isaiah 40:30-31 SHARE CHRIST Our desire is to always SHARE Christ's ever redeeming love. Accomplished through words and actions by each individual that interacts with the teens. Sharing Christ often involves talking about the characteristics of Jesus and loving like he did. We do this through sharing our testimonies, acts of kindness, or even just talking about our faith. To always have an open invitation to conversation. You are the Light of the world. A town built on a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven. Matt 5:14-16 |
OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
WE BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE To be the inspired, infallible, authoritative word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16) WE BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ONE GOD Eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (John1:1; Colossians 1:15-20) WE BELIEVE IN THE DEITY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST In His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His victorious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to power and glory. (Philippians 2:5-11) WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT We believe that, for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (John 16:7-14) WE BELIEVE IN AN ETERNAL HELL AND HEAVEN A place of punishment prepared for Satan and his rebelling angels, and all those who reject Jesus Christ as Son of God, as Savior and Lord. We believe in an eternal Heaven, a place of reward and rejoicing prepared by the Lord Jesus Christ for all believers. (Matt 25:46; Dan 12:2) WE BELIEVE IN THE CHURCH Which is the spiritual unity of all believers in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 4: 1-7) |
